The company’s products are based on the Tocircle controlled rotary vane principle, a Norwegian patent for efficient multiphase displacement machines.
Traditional rotary vane machines are universally in use within most industrial applications for pumping, compression and expansion duty. Based on the principle that centrifugal action forces the vanes against the machine casing, they are therefore limited in size and performance.
In the Tocircle design the clearing between the vane tips and the machine casing is minutely controlled by an internal mechanical arrangement. This reduces vane tip friction against the casing towards nil, allowing far greater peripheral speed and thence larger casing diameters. On the other hand, not being dependent on centrifugal forces, Tocircle machines will operate over a wide range of rotational speeds.
A distinguishing feature of these machines is that all mechanical parts and process fluids describe a circular movement, rotating in the same direction without any reciprocal action prone to inducing vibration or generating noise. This reduces the need for space consuming vibration damping devices and noise hoods, and alleviates the requirement for heavy foundations.
