H2020 “Hot Chips” project to start in May 2018

The “Hot Chips” project, for which Tocircle Power Systems has received significant funding by the EU H2020 SME instrument programme, will be kicked off in May 2018. The project, which aims at developing a compressor unit assembly for an industrial very high temperature heat pump for the Food & Beverage industry, will have a duration of 23 months.
On April 25-26, Tocircle were invited to Brussels for a welcome seminar for H2020 grant recipients, and had the pleasure to meet the dynamic team of EASME (the European Commission’s Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises) officers that run the H2020 SME programme.

New CEO on board

To strengthen its management team in view of the company’s ambitious growth plans for 2018, board member Pål Bråthen has accepted the position as Chief Executive Officer of Tocircle Industries AS. He succeeds to Steinar Faanes who will now fully concentrate on technical matters in his new role as Chief Technical Officer.

“Hot Chips” project gets EU Horizon 2020 funding

Tocircle Power Systems AS has been awarded a 2.5 million € grant from the EU Commission to execute the “Hot Chips” project proposal, which aims at building, testing and commercializing a full scale, 5MW heat pump system aimed at waste heat recovery from heat intensive production processes in the food & beverage industry.
